An Indian Summer

September 19, 2016

Typical really isn’t it, we all long for summer and as soon as it stays a little longer than we expected, we’re all fed up of it and pining for autumn. I can’t deny that I am one of those people – longing to wear cosy jumpers, big scarves, new boots and a warm winter coat. I’m fairly sure that as the temperature plummets and the nights draw in, I’ll begin to wish for summer again.

I absolutely love these pictures, perhaps because I rather like the outfit. Unfortunately the camera was on the wrong setting so they’re not the best quality, sigh. Oh and don’t worry, this hat has been stored away now for winter, for a £2 find in a charity shop, it’s definitely one of my most worn items this summer. These denim shorts certainly join that category too – £8 from Primark, bought on a bit of a whim and I’ve worn them so much (and appeared in many a blog post – sorry, no points there for originality!)

I mentioned this jacket in a recent video and I am just in love with it. It’s pretty oversized but the colour is just incredible – I certainly don’t own anything quite this pink. It cost under £5 from a local charity shop and I just switched the buttons up using an old 1920s batch I found at a vintage fair last year. The plimsoles are Cath Kidston, I haven’t had as much wear as I wanted to out of these this summer, I might try and wear them a little before it gets too cold. I feel like they would look pretty good with a simple pair of jeans and grey jumper too – you have to include a few florals in the wintertime too, don’t you?

Love, Harriet

This is so cute! I love how you’ve styled it. I’m not usually one to go for pinks but this shade is so intense and just beaut!
