So I’ve been having a little look on ASOS (dangerous territory) and found just a few things I like. I often feel that Autumn is the most spendy time of the year when it comes to fashion, perhaps because we know it’ll be getting cold. In Summer, we long to wear cute backless tops and pretty lace shorts but the sun doesn’t always make an appearance – except for now that this, when everyone is pining for Autumn.
I’ve never popped a wishlist up on my blog before so I’m not sure if this is the best format but I thought it’s a good way to show you a few of my favourite things and follows on quite nicely from my last post.
The first four pieces are slightly miscellaneous. I’d love to invest in another Breton Top as I wear them all year round and they’re such a wardrobe staple. Great for layering too once the cold weather appears. These Embroidered Boots are just the epitome of beautiful winter footwear. I wear boots most days when it comes to the colder seasons so when I spotted these on Liv’s video, well, I started imagining them with so many different outfits. Dangerous Harriet, very dangerous. I definitely need a new pair of boyfriend-fit jeans, in my last post I mentioned black but I quite like the look of this Weekday pair too. I really want to continue my love for lace cami tops through to A/W and fell a little in love with this Cami Lace Midi Dress: I envisage wearing it with a chunky pink jumper and trainers. A bit pricey perhaps but a lovely piece to have and to style.
Now onto jumpers – my favourite! I’ve had quite a big clear-out of jumpers this year so I’m looking to invest in a few new ones. How lovely is this Ruffle Hem one? I think it will be a great transitional piece and I love the colour with the pretty detailing. I’m feeling I may be into a splash of green this season after spotting this Monki one too – I love a classic sweater and the bell sleeves add a touch of snazzyness (word?) It wouldn’t really be A/W without a good Fisherman Knit now would it? I love finding these, they remind me of that cool Scandinavian style and are perfect to team over dresses and with skirts. The colour’s classic too though one in navy would be lovely! I mentioned in my last post that I like the bare legs look when the colder weather approaches – I thought this Jumper Dress would be perfect. It’s slouchy and oversized and would look effortless teamed with UGG boots and a duster coat.
SHOES! I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before but I’m not a girl that goes crazy for shoes. Saying that though, I do like a good pair of loafers and 95% of my shoes are pointed. This is certainly the year of the trainer and so I thought it was about time I invested in a pair I love – this Nike pair are pretty classic and after all, chicks love grey. From grey to Silver Loafers – if you read my blog or follow me on Instagram, I wear metallic shoes most days of the week and so I was drawn to these like a Magpie. Now I’m not going to say, Oh, they’re so Gucci-esque, firstly because it annoys me when people say things like that and secondly, because they don’t, actually; I just really like them. And now onto the last pair of Printed Loafers, my my, I hope they don’t sell out before I get my little toes in a pair. I think you have to be careful with animal prints, but paired with a simple white tee, bomber and black jeans, these will look divine.
I thought I’d add a few jewellery pieces into the mix, I used to be a costume jewellery girl but this summer, I’ve been living in dainty jewels. I really need to update my collection for the new season and while I haven’t got into the choker trend – I know, I know, a blogger without a choker I hear you cry – I really like this pretty Rock N Rose one and how it’s been styled with a high neck blouse. Layering necklaces is still a popular trend and when I spotted this ALDO Layered Choker, I thought it would be perfect to pair with a simple tee and bomber, the perfect mix of masculinity and femininity.
I’ve been on the hunt for a chunky gold watch for a while now and love the design of this ASOS Sleek Watch. I’m not sure why but I prefer wearing a watch in the colder seasons as you can pair it with a jumper or cardi – I feel watches suit me better when it’s poking out underneath a piece of clothing rather than just sitting on my bare arm! Lastly, I love the look of this Satin Bow Choker as it’s something so different and an ideal accessory to jazz up a simple jumper and jeans outfit. I know they’ve styled it with a smarter outfit but I would team this with a grey marl jumper, jeans and boots – such a fun and inexpensive twist on an everyday outfit!
So there we have it – I’ve thoroughly enjoyed putting this post together. I spend so much time ‘window shopping’ and creating wishlists and mood boards that it makes sense to share them on here too! Perhaps I’ll look to pop a Topshop one up next, I always swoon when their A/W stock comes in!
