Blue Hues

As part of the Boyfriend Jeans Edit I posted on YouTube, this was the more casual choice out of the three. Sometimes, you don’t want to wear a pair of pointed flats or heels and you just fancy popping on a pair of comfy trainers (mine are from Gap – similar here) I think these jeans work so well with slip-ons and follow on nicely from the slightly tom-boy edge they have.

Growing up, I was such a tom-boy. I was never into dolls or playing with make-up, you would normally find me at the top of the apple tree or searching for ants in the greenhouse. Although now I love florals and pastels, I still love that tom-boyish look of a pair of baggy jeans and white t’shirt. There’s something very effortless about it.

I picked up this kimono style jacket a few weeks ago in the Topshop sale for £12 – I liked it because it was a bit different and although it looks like a PJ top (it might actually be one), I knew I’d enjoy styling it and liked the idea of wearing it for Spring and Summer too. Even over a pair of denim shorts or skinny jeans, I feel as though it’ll be one of those pieces that I get a lot of wear out of.

Love, Harriet
