I absolutely love this outfit – it’s my favourite to wear actually. Mixing breton stripes, blush pink and cosy slacks makes for a pretty comfy, casual combination. (As the title would suggest – original, eh?)
I’ve got my favourite loafers of the moment on – now tempted by the black too! – and a new breton top from Topshop. I honestly believe you can never have too many striped tops in your wardrobe. They’re such a staple and go with so much too, plus they’re the perfect transition piece and always look pretty trendy.
I drove past this beautiful autumnal wall yesterday and the last leaves were dropping, such a pity as it really was the epitome of autumn, but luckily I got a few photos and videos using it as a backdrop. I’m a walking cliche, I know.
Opting for Comfort
I say this outfit is one of my favourites and pretty much sums up my style because, in my opinion, it’s pretty effortless and casual, but smart and comfortable too. As the nights draw in and the temperature starts to drop – we’ve definitely seen that this week in the UK – I just want to be cosy and comfortable, yet a little bit stylish. We don’t have time to put the heating on in the mornings before we leave for work now, so it’s a mad dash from ridiculously cosy dressing gown to outfit for the day.
I definitely want to invest in some more luxury and cosy knitwear for this season, I haven’t really bought many jumpers in the last few years – at least not really chunky, soft ones, I always seem to opt for thinner alternatives that pair with shirts so I can have the collar poking out. I’ve got my eye on a few though and no doubt they will keep me lovely and snug for the inevitable cold season ahead.
