go to link Autumn is well and truly here and to celebrate, I thought I’d put together a little post to highlight some of my favourite looks I wore over the summer months. As always, those long, hot days passed us by in a sunny flash, and while I am looking forward to mustard knits, blanket scarfs and ankle boots, I will miss my pretty floral tea dresses too.
A Thrifty Summer
source Although Dave and I didn’t manage to get away this summer, the sun did peep its head out just long enough so I could wear a few of my favourite summer finds – from both the high-street and car boot sales. This summer I managed to wake up early and attend car boot sales most Sundays, finding some brilliant pieces along the way. From nautical striped dresses and skirts to summer knits and a lovely pair of patterned culottes.
click One of my favourite thrift finds of the summer was a pretty red floral dress that I spotted for just £1. Fitting me perfectly, it hangs beautifully just below my knees. With red taking over the high-street during summer and carrying through into this season, it was a lucky spot!
If you’re interested in all my thrift finds, head on over to YouTube. I’ve found two coats this summer too which will be perfect to transition through into these colder months. A sheepskin jacket which I’ve had on my wish list for so many years. Although it’s still in the need to take to the dry-cleaners pile, I found it for a thrifty £5. Originally from Wallis, I also spotted a beautiful vintage faux fur dalmatian print coat for only £10.
lamisil dermgel buy Into autumn and I’ve slowly been adding a few pieces to my wardrobe and putting together a few style inspiration boards, both on Pinterest and Instagram. I feel this helps me to feel inspired and also gives me a much clearer view on not only what I want to be wearing, but how I want to wear it too. One of my favourite finds so far is a vibrant mustard yellow jacket from Tu at Sainsbury’s. At only £22 it’s a perfect nod to the a/w season and a cosy item that surprisingly goes with a lot in my wardrobe.
As I start adding more pieces to my wardrobe for autumn, I’ll be showing you how I style them on here or my Instagram pages. No doubt I’ll put together a little New-In video on my YouTube channel too!
Whilst I’m a summer girl at heart, I must admit that seeing the leaves change to their rusty hues and dusting down my winter coats has made me excited for the colder months that lay ahead.
