Jewelled

April 3, 2016

I bought this kimono last year from Zara in the sale – they only had a medium left but I had spotted this when it first came into the store and fell a little bit in love so I had to snap it up!

It’s a little oversized but it’s still one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe. It’s a great transitional piece too, I think the colours work well for Winter and through to Spring and Summer. I’d like to incorporate richer colours into my wardrobe this season, especially emerald greens and sapphire blues, as I think they work so well with whites and creams (my favourite colour palette!)

I love wearing statement pieces – whether a necklace or jacket – as it means you can keep the rest of your outfit pretty simple. Jeans and a pair of skinny jeans has been such a go-to of mine this year and to be honest, I can see myself wearing this through to the warmer months too – I’m all for comfort!

While I’m a big fan of costume jewellery, I’ve been opting for slightly more daintier options recently. These necklaces are from Topshop and I’ve been wearing them almost daily as they go with so much. Plus, I’ve totally been coveting images on Instagram and Pinterest of girls wearing simple gold jewellery paired with a plain tee. In fact, this is sure to be a summer staple of mine this year!

Love, Harriet
