I wanted to share with you a few pieces that I’ve picked up recently from a couple of charity shop trips. Firstly, two apologies: my awkward posing, I have no excuses except that I was hungry and the location, or lack thereof. The sun hasn’t made too many appearances this week so I’ve struggled somewhat with outfit shots!
The first top – let’s take a minute to appreciate the beautiful embroidery – is originally from Topshop but I picked it up for £3. I remember seeing this when it was in the shops and later on eBay when I was frequently outbid. It has buttons all up the back and pretty summer-inspired embroidered.
The second purchase? I like to call this my painter’s shirt. It is pretty over-sized but I love the colourful stripes and pretty frills around the neckline. I’ve spoken before of my love for oversized, casual shirts and for £4, I think this is a bit of a bargain and perfect for lazy, Summer nights.
I must admit, my BF wasn’t too sure on this last little purchase – it was only £1, ‘well I can see why’, you may say – but I couldn’t leave the shop without it. In fact, I did. I bought the Topshop blouse and walked out but trotted back in rather hurriedly when I realised the error of my ways. Not only because it was £1, but becuase I love the pastel shades and 80s vibe. It looks great tucked into a midi skirt or teamed with a pair of skinny jeans too.
So there we have it, just a few of my recent thrift purchases – all for £8, a third of what the Topshop blouse cost originally!
