Sometimes, it’s not always easy to pop out for the day and take your camera along for a few impromptu outfit shots alongside a pretty wall or down cobbled streets. However, there are times when I throw on an outfit in the morning which I actually quite like, so I thought on days such as these, it might be a little easier to take a quick snap before I get dressed of what i’ll be wearing that day.
It’s still jolly chilly here in the UK so i’ve been covering up with lots of layers and faux fur for added warmth. And, as always, there’s always quite a bit of grey added in – there’s something about this colour that I just warm too. Plus, I think it pairs so well with other colours, especially creams, navy and greens.
I’m still coveting this faux fur gilet from Topshop that I bought last year – it was in their Last Chance to Buy section so I kind of gathered it was fate! It’s one of those pieces which goes with so much in my wardrobe and looks so effortless paired with a soft, dark grey jumper and skinny jeans. The shirt – an old classic from Primark – has lasted me well for years now. I don’t shop in Primark often now but I seem to have chosen well with the few pieces I do have.
As for the plaid shirt? Well, you can never really have too many. I say plaid, what I mean is checked or western-style, but saying the former helps me believe i’m in a Taylor Swift music video, riding around in an old jeep in Kentucky.
