The season of layering is finally upon us and I couldn’t be happier – a time that calls for pretty camisoles, chunky cardigans and duster coats. It’s that wonderful in between stage where a puffer coat isn’t quite required, a scarf is optional and you can still wear flats without your feet succumbing to frostbite.
This duster coat has reappeared on my little blog multiple times but it’s such a staple throughout the year – an unforgettable bargain found in a little vintage shop in the picturesque town of Holt; it will long be one of my favourite coats – for the colour, gold detailing and length. I popped into Primark the other day to take a few items back and ended up exchanging them instead (despite telling myself to go straight to the tills and not look back, I’m useless) but; I did find this blush pink long line cardi. It’s exactly what I was looking for and I know I’ll get so much wear out of it, plus it’s ridiculously cosy too.
I love the look of a silk cami paired with a slouchy cardi, it’s such an effortless look, so whenever I pop into charity shops I’m always on the look out for them. This pale pink number (no doubt it’s meant to be worn as a nightie) is actually from M&S but it only cost a few pounds.
These jeans are a recent purchase from ASOS (I’ve pretty much worn them everyday since I bought them!) I love the vintage wash and that they’re a slightly straighter leg. Worn with my new leopard print loafers – also from ASOS and an absolute favourite new purchase, seriously, I love them – and I’ve got a cosy everyday autumnal outfit. I love that just adding a touch of texture or animal print can really jazz up an outfit.
Another new purchase – it is autumn after all which always calls for a rather spendy few months (!) – is this pretty embroidered clutch bag from Accessorize. A bit of a bargain – it was reduced from £40 to £11.50 and I love the colours and sparkle. Sometimes you don’t want to carry round a big tote bag all the time, a clutch that fits my phone, cash and lippy is all I need on a daily basis so I’ve been looking to buy a few for this season. I’ve also got my eye on this one, just because it’s so ridiculous and again, a great bit of texture to add to an every day outfit!
I’ve popped up a little video today too, showing you my inspiration for my new autumn/winter wardrobe and a few new purchases!
