I know it’s technically Summer now, but as the weather is only starting to warm up I wanted to share with you a few of my favourite style pieces that I’ve been wearing over the last month or so.
(I’ll work from left to right)
It goes without saying that a good ol’ Breton stripe top had to be in there – in fact I’m wearing this as I type! (similar here) – they are certainly an all year-rounder, but the mix of chic Parisian meets casual sailor just seems to work even better during the Summer months. The silk top sitting beside it is in fact a wardrobe favourite of mine and one I don’t think I’ve mentioned on this little blog so far – I picked it up a few years ago a a car boot sale for a mere £1 and I’ve loved it ever since. And the Jo Malone perfume – Wood Sage & Sea Salt – just one of my favourite scents from them, alongside Blackberry & Bay, Peony & Blush Suede, Nectarine Blossom & Honey, the new Carrot Blossom & Fennel from The Herb Garden collection…
The trusty Bomber Jacket trend, I love it, I can’t help it. I’ve always been a little bit of a Tomboy at heart so this fits in perfectly. This pretty number is from Zara and I love that you can wear such a simple outfit underneath and pair with such vibrant florals. A beautiful Birthday gift!
Although I used to wear earrings every single day, in recent years I haven’t done but I still love rummaging through second hand shops for costume jewellery, especially for brooches and necklaces. I feel these are more timeless and classic than a shiny silver piece as there’s often a story behind it – even though, of course, I will never know what this is, I like the feeling of knowing there is one.
I won’t harp on again about this coat – another ‘wardrobe’ favourite to be honest. Come Winter or Summer, I always wear it and will continue to love it for many more years! In case you’ve missed the numerous posts where no doubt I’ve spoken of my love for it, I bought it from a little vintage shop in the town of Holt. I’m afraid I can’t remember the name of it now but it’s a few doors down from Joules, owned by a lovely lady and well worth a visit.
Camisoles and dainty necklaces. I think this makes for such a great outfit in the warmer months. Throw over a baggy cardigan or bomber and you’re probably looking pretty fly.
Do people even still use the word, fly?
