So here we are, the final edit in my mini white jeans series. As I’ve mentioned previously, there are so many outfits that I could pair with white jeans but I keep coming back to a slouchy tee or marl jumper. Although you can dress white jeans up for an evening out, I think these casual pieces work just as well, if not just that little bit better. Perhaps that’s the reason I inadvertently focused more on a ‘dressed down’ edit.
I won in the charity shop stakes again earlier this week, picking up this silk camisole from M&S. I’m pretty sure it’s a nightie, but – firstly, the lingerie trend and underwear as outerwear is so popular this season and secondly (and most importantly) I love silk pieces. Especially when I find them hidden in amongst bobbly jumpers and faded t’shirts and they’re only £4. I think this will add something a little bit different to an outfit whilst filling me with nostalgia when skirts and jeans was a ‘thing’ in the 90s. I loved that trend! I feel as though this is a more classic (and chic!) reinvention though.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, my lovely Mother actually took these photos for me. Considering she didn’t know which button to press before we started, I think she’s done a very good job and got very much into the spirit of the occasion – I thought she might even lay down at one point to get the perfect shot!
